We are Defined by our Relationships

Child of God.
Mother.
Daughter.
Sister.
Friend.
Employee.
Blogger.

As I've gotten older I've realized that the words used to describe me (artist, creative, tall, hearty, redhead) are not what actually defined me. We are all defined, by our relationships to one another.

I am panicking, in a quiet way, about my sons crossover ceremony tomorrow. There's lots to do to get ready for tomorrow. Programs to be created, gifts to be gathered, pants to be hemmed, and uniforms to be washed and ironed. I am doing these things, he is not. My son becomes a Boy Scout tomorrow and I become little more than a chauffeur.  He doesn't want me to be involved in Boy Scouts as much as I was in Cub Scouts. Our relationship is changing.

I am hoping to build relationships through this blog. Unfortunately, it has been sorely neglected for too long. Right now all I can do is post this quick little message.

But next week I plan to post a silhouette tutorial that will blow your mind. When I discovered this little trick, I was amazed and couldn't wait to share it. Unfortunately life gets in the way and we all have to wait. Come back Tuesday and see for yourself.

Thanks Pinterest

I have grown to love Pinterest. I love looking at all the pictures and hitting the like button. I love sharing photos from blogs I follow. I love the inspiration but I guess that's the point of the whole site. There is a down side to Pinterest (like all things on the internet). Pinterest has changed the way I spend my creative time, actually it's nearly eliminated my creative time lately.

I had to work at home tonight so I was busy with Photoshop this evening. When I was done I took a Pinterest break. I decided to use Photoshop to do a bit of creating for the blog. I have made a bit of word art to show how Pinterest has changed my life.

I am in the market for a new camera. I've been taking pictures with my iPhone, and as much as I like it, I would really like a real camera. So any suggestions?

Tutorials coming next week. And possibly some layouts from this weekend's crop.

Loving You - Word Art Freebie

Technical difficulties have made posting project pictures and tutorials pert-near impossible. So I have been playing with Illustrator instead. I have made a sentiment for you to use on your personal cards, scrapbook pages, lunchbox notes, or refrigerator art.

Please don't sell it as is, in a package, on a website, on a disk, in a box, with a fox, or in any other form the techies dream up. It's a gift - like God's grace. Enjoy.
