Say a little prayer for...

If you are only here for projects or tutorials my apologies.

I have not written much about my worries on this blog. I have tried, sometimes unsuccessfully, to keep it upbeat and positive, informative and inspirational. I don't know that the blogoshere cares to hear my troubles. Somehow today seems to be different. I NEED to get stuff off my chest.

I have not told you yet but for the past 6 months my prayers, my worries, and my concerns have been for my wonderful father who is battling late stage lung cancer and now pneumonia. I have not told you any of this because I wanted to respect my family's privacy. Hang respect. I need prayers. For the past several days my dad had been in ICU. His blood pressure has been dangerously low and we thought we would lose him several times.

Yesterday we all got one day older. But I got to tell the world I am now one year older. Of course adding a year doesn't have the same excitement it did when I was a kid. I am not that much closer to riding on the bigger roller coaster or that much closer to being able to drive or vote or drink. I am not closer to anything but death at this stage of my life. Harsh? Yes. True? Yes.
All I wanted for this birthday was for my dad to make it through another day. I got my birthday wish. It involved 2 pints of blood and a team of doctors and nurses. Praise be to God and thank you to those who donated blood. Now I am going to get greedy and ask for him to be rid of the pneumonia so he can begin chemo treatments.

He did exceptional on radiation. The massive tumor shrank 75% and the smaller tumor disappeared. I am praying that chemo has a similar effect. Please pray with me for my father's healing. I promise when I return home I will get a project or three up here. I promise you more video tutorials but if you would just say a short prayer that my father is healed I would appreciate it.

Happy Crafting,
.

I am so sorry to hear of the difficulties you and your father are currently experiencing. I pray for healing for him and for peace for the whole family. May God richly bless you.
