I went to bed at the same time my son did last night. A good move, even if it was unintentional. But this morning when I finally got to the computer there were already 109 links on Julia Dunnit's Stamping Ground blog - the home of What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday (WOYWW). So much for breaking the top 100.
This week I have a newsletter to write/produce a cub scout meeting to prepare for (need to get those patches on the shirt and vest) as well as all the normal stuff so I haven't spent oodles of time creating stuff that is blog-worthy. Well I've made a mess and that's what WOYWW is all about right? Actually embracing the mess seems to be a theme lately the Decor Chick! blog had a Real Homes, Real Messes, Real Life…Link Party! on Monday. It really made me feel normal.
Like I said I don't have any new projects to share but I have remnants of past projects still lingering on my desk.
Happy Crafting,

- There is a worm from the Silhouette tutorial I posted on Friday, you can see it here.
- The card from yesterday's post, you can see it better here.
- There is great wood print paper from K & Company.
- There is a card that I'm working on with a 60/70's feel - remember the men's jackets with the 2 stripes down the right side. Haven't figured out a main image or sentiment but the background is on the desk.
- There is a box of wire working supplies. I needed a bit of black wire to adhere a giraffe to a title piece for the scrapbook I work on at the local retirement community. I volunteer a couple of hours on Tuesday mornings and work with residents to make a scrapbook. We have completed one book and will be either adding pages or getting a new one for moving on to a new book next week.
- There is a stack of paper my sister gifted me this Christmas, I used one for the aforementioned title that is below.
- There is also a stack of stamps destined for the Etsy shop.
- And lastly my son's pinewood derby car that we have yet to begin work on.
The title for a page I worked on at the retirement home. Love the giraffe paperclip. |

A very interesting and creative desk! I was afraid to paint my room pink at first but I did it and I am happy now - I braved colors again and painted one wall in my bedroom green! Love it! Don't be afraid just do it!
Hugs,
Cardarian
So much different stuff going on in your space right now. Thanks for sharing.
I know what you mean about how quickly everyone links on. With the time difference here my Wednesday comes a lot earlier so if I wait until Thursday, I'm usually one of the last. This week I made it under 100 though :-D
Busy life! Your desk looks like a creative place to be. Hopefully soon you will have a bit of time to play. Thanks for sharing and for stopping by my desk. Happy WOYWW! #15

I like the Zoo title, looks great and that giraffe paperclip is gorgeous.
Great busy and creative desk you have! How did you make a rolling cart? Great idea for card stock storage! Do you have all the paper filed by colour? By company?
Thanks for the peek!
xoxo Karen
very nice not messy just the way we are when being productive thanks for popping by- when you live in Oz it is easy to be early for WOYWW as we are 10 hours ahead of you guys!! :D

Loving your busy desk. You are one busy lady - I was a Guider once and know how much work is involved - but it is worthwhile isn't it.
I am envious of your work on the Silhouette. Good on you!
Unfinished is just work in progress, right?! I read a few of your older posts and have to say I LOVE the auto trace feature of the Silhouette...don't know what I would do without it!
Thanks for stopping by, your workspace looks very organised and tidy lol, unlike mine.
Have a great Thuursday :~)
Wow very organised, not like mine at all! Love your scrapbook title.
I think the 'Cheese' card is great fun and I need some giraffe paper clips!!

Mess.....what mess?
Oh wow Katie, that little Giraffe is sooo cute.
Did you make him from scratch yourself or was the black wire you were looking for just so you attach him to the card without it being seen?

I tried to log on and link just after midnight, with a complete failure. Nothing worked so eventually I gave up and tried again in the morning. Still nothing, so I had to try again much later. So it was not just you failing to get in to the early numbers. Love the little giraffe.
I like your desk - so busy!! You know when I started with Scouting I was told it's only an hour a week!! Yeah, right! After this I've to prepare for my meeting tomorrow :)
fab desk, love the little giraffe.
thanks for popping by earlier

Hi Katie, thanks for your visit- I think people may have trouble with the easel cards, but I found somewhere, I think its Crafty Devils papercrafts, if my memory is right, has a little link to something you can print off to pop in the envelope, with instructions, and I think I shall be using that. I can forsee all sorts of strange positions for the cards otherwise, lol.
Mess? I see no mess not unless you mean the lot I see when I turn away from the pc screen on mine!!!
Just love the little giraffe. Has he really been made from a paperclip.
