Effer Dares 169, Scrap What You Wear, was posted today and I was one of the guest designers. This guest shot was not because of my great abilities but because of my great speed. I was one of the first 15 to have my page into Jamaica. I am incredibly stoked to be featured there with other talented ladies who show you what they wear as well.
In looking at the pages I have submitted for effer dares am struck by a few things.
1) My dare pages do not feature photos. At least not my own photos. The pages are more like art journal pages than scrapbook pages.
2) I have a habit of filling up the pages. This is not my usual style when designing ads for customers. I like white space, customers did not. Perhaps now that I have been away from ad production for a while the idea of using all the space is starting to win. Not necessarily good.
3) I appear to like grey as a base color.
4) Patterned paper is used very judiciously. I don't know that that is a good thing. Or a bad thing. It's just a thing right now.
Head on over to the Effer Dares page and see my page. I will post it here when they have posted the next dare.
Happy Crafting
Katie
